The typical installed membrane liner can develop leaks for a number of different reasons. All these problems can cost builders expensive repairs - not to mention homeowner nightmares.

Membrane liners may leak due to:

Large folds and seams that cause water to be trapped.
Tools dropped, leaving undetected pinholes.
Sharp objects under membrane can cause punctures.
Damaged during installation through indiscriminate walking on etc.
Screws or nails below drain height will eventually leak.
